Latino AIDS Awareness Day is Oct. 15 > UTSA Today > University of Texas at San Antonio: "(Oct. 12, 2006)--The National HIV/AIDS Partnership (NHAP) will sponsor National Latino Aids Awareness Day on Oct. 15.
National Latino Aids Awareness Day was established four years ago to draw attention to the critical role HIV testing and prevention education plays in stemming the spread of AIDS. Latinos continue to be disproportionately affected by HIV, comprising more than 20 percent of HIV/AIDS cases nationwide."
