Finally a new blog
Re: #15 - heh...expensive addiction! ;-)
Glad to have you in the class, Robert! Do you know anyone at either NYU or GMHC that might be interested in coming to talk to the class about e-media and health?

Jessie, yes, I keep my addiction at bay.... but enjoy the items I have ... I know we all will enjoy what we will learn during your lectures and implement the knowledge. As for a speaker, I could ask around... Jane Dowling at NYU is doing most of the web stuff for hivinfosource.org and I relay the studies via my listserv. When it comes to utilizing the web for healthpromotion, I have my own experiences with the work I did for Deutsche AIDS Hilfe in Berlin, the events I hosted here in New York for people with HIV/AIDS and the lectures and presentations about HIV/AIDS at several organizations (like PFLAG).
Velma, I used to produce corsets for the Haute Couture in Paris and museums all over Europe (repairs and reconstruction). My work was last on exhibit at the Museum of FIT during the Corset Exhibition. Further I used to make custom bras and bustiers for the clients of a store in Berlin.
About Africa, I lived there several times, mainly during the winter in Morocco, in several locations in main cities and including the Sahara Desert with Berbers in a tent. All in all I lived there for about 1 1/2 to 2 years (usually 2-3 months at a time).

Katie, with that accent of mine you should have guessed ;)
Ellie, yes, the City has its ups and downs as so many other cities too. I loved the places I lived at, but the same that happened to Berlin after the Wall fell is happening to NYC and the creative aspect is leaving the city unfortunately....
Samantha, the Caribbean sounds like a place I should go to in the near future.... I loved the Islas Canarias and I bet I will love the Caribbean. I just wonder if the islands survive a visit of mine ;)

Alice, I am born on October 13th.... and I am too much trouble for bad luck ;)
Robert,
You have a sense of calm in your face and I love that, I am so quiet, but I enjoy looking at people gestures because I could learn lots about personalities. Also, your life sounds great helping those who need people like you!
My craziness, the chocolates hummm...I love them.

De Huang, a dear friend of mine told me to go to the USA and I followed her advise.... I still wonder if she just wanted to get rid of me tho....
Lina, thank you, yes professional photographers... (as a former model I am spoiled).... but you have a great shot yourself..
Diana, there is nothing better than being born on a 13th, don't you agree???
eneyda, I try to stay calm... If I panic, my friends know they have to run fast and far.
Velma, I was often asked to write an autobiography.... my memories are in my head and some are documented in my friend's books. If I ever write a book I have to make sure everyone is either restrained or I have to hide someplace safe....

oh Lorraine, I will survive on Syphilis LOL, but I think it is good that everyone is trying to keep me away from HIV/AIDS... my life has been taken over and that way I get a break.
In the fall we will have a class for HIV and society; guess who is going to take it?
